Increase or accelerate the crops in general, is the target of this product, which has been in use for decades in traditional agriculture and, for some time, in the cultivation of marijuana, giving good results, not only in number of plants , but also in the quality thereof, as gibberellic acid does not influence its development.

There are discoveries that arise, say, “by chance” and gibberellic acid is among them. This product, which is used more every day between people who grow marijuana has been used for decades in different types of “traditional” culture, as is the case in life, carrots, cotton, cucumbers and long list of fruits, vegetables and even in certain trees, such as cedar rose, whose wood is used on a daily basis in carpentry.

Gibberellic acid, more commonly known as GA3, was discovered in 1898 in Japan, by Shotaro Hori, when he met the existence of the fungus Gibberrella fujikuroi, responsible for a disease (bakanae), which affected the rice and it was due chemical resistant to heat producing fungus. However, it was not until 1935 when Teijiro Yabuta would call this chemical and begin to use Gibberellin on crops.

What is gibberellic acid?

It is a substance which, today, there are over 100 varieties, but the one used most common form is the aforementioned, GA3, which is extracted from the fungus discovered in 1898 and we can be in the form concentrated liquid, soluble granules or tablets, although it is true that marijuana crops the first formula is used, since it is much more comfortable and easy to handle, especially considering that those who use it do not recommend pouring the acid directly into the tank, but make a foliar application.

This plant hormone, natural growth, with the approval of the Environmental Protection Agency because of its low toxicity, so you can rest easy with the results of your plant, provided, of course, what you put into the appropriate amounts and not overdo it. Moreover, you also will not damage the environment, something every marijuana grower has to remember forever.

One aspect that you must consider is at what point should you apply it in your planting, as if done later you will not get the expected result. That time is the process of germination, so that get promote growth of the embryo of a seed. And the growth is precisely the aim of this biochemical product: accelerate the germination and growth of the crop, marijuana in our case.

Beware of doses!

Growing marijuana, especially if we do at home and in a closet culture (which is usually the most common) requires limitations that are not in the case of major crops in the field, where plants can grow at will. So this product is commonly used in agriculture. However, this does not apply in indoor crops, these limitations in size and number of plants must be taken very present and use therein of this acid, too.


And, if not used, the correct measures, which are really minimal for this type of cultivation, the effect may be the opposite: that plants will grow much, even more than we would like, but not correspond to the amount of acid with the number of plants, the leaves of these do not have the quality expected of them.

Finally we would like to note that you must be very careful when you buy gibberellic acid: buy only one that is specific to marijuana as those used for other types of crops are much more powerful and will damage the plant.
