Primero que todo, el grupo Thorn fue el creador de esta tecnolog\u00eda en 1981, pero fue Philips quien, a partir de 1994, se convirti\u00f3 en el primer distribuidor internacional.<\/p>\n<p>Entonces, \u00bfqu\u00e9 es una l\u00e1mpara CMH? CMH es simplemente la nueva generaci\u00f3n de l\u00e1mparas de descarga de alta intensidad (HID). La principal evoluci\u00f3n t\u00e9cnica entre los dos tipos de bombillas es que la CMH est\u00e1 equipada con un tubo de cer\u00e1mica compuesto, mientras que las l\u00e1mparas MH tradicionales usan tubos que requieren una mezcla de gas para reducir la temperatura en el n\u00facleo del tubo. Sin embargo, esto no permite un espectro \u00f3ptimo para el desarrollo de nuestras plantas. Mientras tanto, las l\u00e1mparas CMH utilizan un tubo cer\u00e1mico cuya capacidad para operar a altas temperaturas permite una mezcla de gas ideal y, en consecuencia, un espectro de luz \u00f3ptimo.<\/p>\n<p>Ahora, \u00bfcu\u00e1les son las ventajas de la l\u00e1mpara CMH? Las l\u00e1mparas CMH producen un espectro mucho m\u00e1s adecuado para nuestras queridas plantas que las l\u00e1mparas HID, tales como MH o HPS, y todo esto con un gasto energ\u00e9tico mucho menor. Esto significa claramente que para una l\u00e1mpara CMH menos potente, como el modelo de 315 W, por ejemplo, demuestra el mismo rendimiento que una l\u00e1mpara HPS de 600 W. No hay comparaci\u00f3n; las l\u00e1mparas HPS son rid\u00edculas en comparaci\u00f3n con una CMH en t\u00e9rminos de espectro.<\/p>\n<p>A pesar de que no estamos comparando cualquier l\u00e1mpara HPS, sino la Philips Sonicare Plus, que es una de las mejores l\u00e1mparas HPS de 600 W, est\u00e1 completamente superada en t\u00e9rminos de espectro. Solo supera a la CMH en el rango limitado de 5800, que corresponde a un color amarillo-naranja. Las l\u00e1mparas CMH tienen un espectro que se acerca mucho m\u00e1s al de la luz solar, lo que significa que usar\u00e1s menos electricidad para la ventilaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Existen varios modelos de CMH: 315 W, 500 W, 630 W, y 630 W T. Todas estas bombillas est\u00e1n disponibles en dos colores diferentes: 3100 K, el espectro completo, o 4200 K, el espectro azul. Tambi\u00e9n es necesario utilizar un balasto espec\u00edfico, porque las l\u00e1mparas CMH solo funcionan con balastos que emiten frecuencias bajas y no altas como las HPS. Entonces, hay balastos ajustables que funcionar\u00e1n con todas tus l\u00e1mparas, pero el problema es que su costo sigue siendo muy alto.<\/p>\n<p>Adem\u00e1s, las l\u00e1mparas CMH permiten una mejor relaci\u00f3n gramos por vatio. No siempre es f\u00e1cil lograr la proporci\u00f3n uno a uno, es decir, un gramo por cada vatio consumido con una l\u00e1mpara HPS, mientras que con una l\u00e1mpara CMH es f\u00e1cil alcanzar 1.5 gramos por vatio e incluso 1.83 gramos por vatio si tienes algo de experiencia y un buen control de tu jard\u00edn.<\/p>\n<p>Ahora, hablemos de las desventajas de las CMH. Dado que es una tecnolog\u00eda reciente, el costo sigue siendo muy alto, pero cuando su uso se vuelva m\u00e1s generalizado, el costo deber\u00eda disminuir. La segunda desventaja de las l\u00e1mparas CMH es que producen rayos ultravioleta de onda corta, que pueden causar quemaduras en la piel o inflamaci\u00f3n ocular.
