Hey friends, and welcome to Pevgrow! Today, we have a short video to teach you how to make a cannabis bonsai.

So, today I’m going to use the New York Diesel seed from Pevgrow. I’m going to mix it with my potting soil, and we’ll need a little bit of water.

First things first, I’m going to prepare my substrate with a bit of nitro guano. Nitro guano is a 100% natural fertilizer that provides a significant amount of nitrogen. It releases slowly and continuously, which is very effective during the vegetative periods of the plants.

  • For indoor use, I recommend:
    • 50 grams of nitro guano for 7 liters of potting soil.
  • For outdoor use, you can use:
    • 1 kilo for 100 to even 200 liters of potting soil.

So here I have two liters, and I’m going to use about 14 grams of guano. Let’s make it very carefully and thoroughly to ensure even consistency. Just so you know, it’s really good poop!

Now that the substrate is ready, we can prepare our pot. We want to fill it up a little, but not all the way. The goal is to place the seed right here, covering half of the stone with soil, so the roots can colonize the stone and the substrate at the bottom of the pot.

Now we can make a little hole to insert the seed.

Hey Growers! Remember to cut the roots to slow down your plant. This will also help refresh part of the substrate, so your plant can have nutrients available again and allows for renewing the root system while staying in the same pot size.

To do this, you just need to cut a one-centimeter slice from each side and the bottom of your root system, replacing all of that with fresh substrate. Pruning plants is very important; this is what will help you keep your plants small and give your bonsai the shape you want.

There are several techniques out there, but it’s up to you to choose the one you want.

I hope you enjoyed this little video! If you did, feel free to subscribe, like, or share. Don’t forget to check out our website, Pevgrow, and we’ll see you very soon for the next video!
