Hey friends! And welcome to Pevgrow. Today, I’m going to teach you how to make your own cannabis tincture. So, the guy has nothing to do with hair; it’s a soaking of cannabis in very strong alcohol, which allows for a high concentration of cannabinoids.

Back in the day, before prohibition, cannabis tinctures were very, very common. You could find them in almost every pharmacy. It was a go-to treatment for things like:

  • Foot ailments
  • Irritable bladders
  • Opium addiction

But nowadays, it could be used for many other diseases, such as:

  • Multiple sclerosis
  • Side effects of chemotherapy
  • Epilepsy
  • Arthritis
  • Pain, whether muscular or general

There are really a lot of conditions that can be alleviated with these tinctures. So, to make your cannabis tincture, you’ll need:

  • High proof alcohol (I recommend Everclear, which is 99% alcohol and is almost pure; otherwise, vodka or 40% alcohol will do just fine)
  • 12.5g of cannabis
  • An oven-safe dish
  • Aluminum foil
  • A funnel
  • A jar for your soaking
  • Coffee filters
  • A dropper to store your cannabis tincture

Before we start, preheat the oven to 85°C. First, we need to decarboxylate the cannabis to activate the THC. I’ve already made a video on this topic; I’ll leave the link in the description. Otherwise, you just need to follow the same steps as me.

So, for 250ml of alcohol, I’m going to use 12.5 grams of cannabis. Let’s get started! We’re going to spread our cannabis in our dish and cover it with aluminum foil. Now that our oven has reached 85°C, we can put our cannabis in for 4 to 4.5 hours. See you later!

Now that our cannabis has finished decarboxylating, we can take it out and mix it with the alcohol. Be careful; it might be very hot! And now we have the alcohol. There you go! Now, place it in the freezer for a week. During this time, the cannabinoids will likely infuse into the alcohol. However, make sure to shake your mixture at least once a day during this time. So, we’ll meet again next week to finish this tincture.

Here we are, a week later! Now that the cannabis has had time to properly infuse into the alcohol, we can filter it. So here we go!

Now we can fill our little dropper. And there you go, your cannabis tincture is ready! As for consumption methods, you can:

  • Add a few drops to your dishes or drinks
  • Place them directly under your tongue

However, always be very careful with the dosage. It’s a concentrate of cannabinoids, so it’s very strong. Start with a few drops before increasing the doses.

I hope you enjoyed this video! If that’s the case, feel free to subscribe, like, or share. Don’t forget to check out our website Pevgrow.com. See you next time!
