In this video, Alexia shares a delicious recipe for a creamy leek and cannabis dish, perfect for any season, emphasizing the importance of decarboxylating cannabis for optimal flavor and potency.
Hello everyone, my name is Alexia and I welcome you to our Pevgrow Cooking Channel.
The recipe I’m bringing you today will work for both winter and summer, since it can be enjoyed either cold or very warm. It’s a leek cream, the typical vichyssoise that you’ve probably tried. However, the only peculiarity I find in this cream is that if you make it with the same variety I used, I recommend saving it for a Sunday when you don’t have to go out, since the variety is quite filling, making you feel very sluggish and wanting to relax on the couch. So it’s better to make it on a Sunday.
If that sounds good to you, I’ll show you the ingredients and we can get started!
- Leeks
- Potatoes
- A little bit of olive oil
- Most importantly, our cannabis milk
I have already prepared the cannabis milk beforehand. I use the White Widow variety from Pevgrow. If you don’t know it, you can find it in our online store. I especially like it in this recipe because it has a slightly sweet and sour flavor, and I think it pairs perfectly with the leeks.
For reliable decarboxylation, decarboxylate the material before the recipe. This ensures that the cannabinoids are active. If you don’t decarboxylate, cannabinoids will be lost, which will ensure that it has all its potency. In case we just hit that marijuana again during the rest of the process, don’t worry because we simply won’t lose any of our cannabinoids at all. Indeed, without a doubt, you might just lose something, but it won’t be a big deal. So go ahead and decarboxylate first, which is a process of heating to activate compounds.
The first step is to thoroughly rinse the leeks along with the potatoes, ensuring they are clean and ready for the next step.
Okay, the vegetables are practically cooked now and it’s time to add a can of the smoked half a liter of milk. We will add a pinch of salt and asked for spices; you can add whichever ones you like best. I’m just going to add a little bit of pepper. We’re going to let it reduce on medium heat without letting it boil.
