Hello, friends! Welcome to Pevgrow.

Today, we have a short video to explain and show you how to prune your cannabis plants.

Defoliation is a generic term that describes the removal of leaves from plants. This technique can be performed in many different ways to achieve the same results:

  • Defoliation increases circulation.
  • It enhances light penetration.
  • The more direct light flowering plants receive, the better they will grow.
  • Better air circulation helps protect them against pathogens.
  • It promotes the efficiency of gas exchange.

It is a magical art to manage the defoliation and transpiration ratio well. However, when too many leaves are removed, the efficiency of transpiration can be interrupted. This leads to nutrients accumulating in the root zone, causing burns or blocking nutrient absorption.

Let’s move on to the demonstration!
