Can I use this fan with a carbon filter?

Technically yes, but we don't recommend it. Helical fans have low static pressure, meaning they struggle to push air through the dense carbon. For filters, a centrifugal extractor is much better. Use this helical fan for air intake instead.

Which size should I choose?

It depends on your tent size. The T-100 is great for small tents (up to 80x80cm) or as an intake for 1x1m tents. The T-125 and T-150 are better for larger spaces or when you need to move more air quickly.

Is it suitable for cooling lighting equipment?

Absolutely. It is perfect for connecting to Cooltube reflectors to remove the heat generated by HPS bulbs directly from the source.

Does it come with a cable?

Most models come pre-wired, but always check the specific reference. If it's plug & play, you just plug it in and you're good to go.

I've used these helical extractors in almost every setup I've built, mainly as intractors. People often obsess over the main exhaust fan and forget that you need to actively bring fresh air in to create a good current. These are perfect for that because they are cheap, consume almost nothing, and are quiet enough not to be annoying.

Another trick I use them for is in the summer. I put one of these blowing directly onto the bulb (if I'm not using LEDs) or just circulating air between the canopy and the light. It helps lower the temperature by a couple of degrees, which can save your harvest during a heatwave. For the price, you really can't go wrong having one or two of these in your arsenal.
