The aromatic seeds of annual chives came to Pevgrow to go straight to your garden, also known as leaf onion, Chinese onion, chives, xonacatl, scallion, or chives.

Actually its name is Allium schoenoprasum and it is used in the gastronomic world and also as a medicinal herb, ancient beliefs associate it as an antidepressant.

This vivacious plant grows with thin and elongated tubular leaves, ending with a few underdeveloped bulbs and gives rise to very beautiful pink flowers.

It is used fresh to dress salads or to make tortillas, also to flavor different foods. It is rich in vitamins A, C and E.

For sowing it is recommended to take a handful of 5 or 6 seeds and place in holes 0.5 to 2 cm deep., you could also use seedbeds if it is more comfortable.
