The Plug seedling tray has been developed to safely root seedlings and also to germinate seeds, providing a safe and designed environment for most of the medium size propagators on the market in the case of the 104-alveolus version and smaller propagators in the 150-alveolus version.
Each one of the alveoli contains an inert peat, mainly to avoid problems of overfeeding, as it is very sensitive to it, especially in the first weeks. You should not apply substrate fertilizers until you change the seedlings to pots, although I recommend you to add foliar application fertilizers to give it a little push.
Transplanting is the most delicate part of growing a crop from cuttings. First of all, you can't do it until the plant is 10 cm. (4 inches) high or the root of the cutting is sticking out from the bottom. Once this has been done, to remove it from the Plug seedling tray, you simply need to push from below carefully to gently remove it. Then you can either transfer it into a small pot and transplant it into larger pots or you can place it into a large pot from the beginning.
