With a single lamp, you can provide your plants with 2.2 kJ/day (12 hours) of UV-B energy and 518 kJ/day (12 hours) of UV-A output. The lamp has an output of 100 mW of UV-B and 12000 mW of UVA. This Lumatek UV light bar is compatible with the Lumatek Zeus LED range bar panels and can be daisy-chained thanks to the included connection cable. Recommended coverage for Lumatek UV 30W LED bars

To obtain the best light distribution over the canopy, we recommend that you integrate a minimum of 2 x 30W LED UV Supplementary Light Bars with the Zeus 465W 2.6, 600W 2.6, 465W PRO 2.9, 600W PRO 2.9 and 1000W Xtreme CO2 luminaires. If you have a 1000W PRO Zeus luminaire, we recommend a minimum of 3 units of 30W LED UV Supplementary Light Bar. The supplementary UV-B + UV-A radiation should be mixed with the Lumatek Zeus Full Spectrum LED range mentioned above, starting with a photoperiod of 12 hours or less during the growth stage of flowering, at least 4 weeks before harvest. For good UV radiation diffusion, make sure to install the recommended minimum units and follow the distance to the canopy given in the Grow Lighting Strategies table.

Precautions to be taken

It is important to take precautions when using the LUMATEK 30W LED UV Supplementary UV Bar as it emits electromagnetic radiation spectrum UVB (near UV Erythemal) and UVA (near UV-black light) with wavelengths from 280 to 400 nm. To avoid any biological effects on the human physical body, turn off the UV light when you have to water or perform any action on the crop. If it is not possible to turn off the UV bars, all exposed skin should be covered with opaque material, including the face, neck, head, hands and arms. It is assumed that other parts of the body are covered if appropriate laboratory clothing is worn, such as long trousers, closed shoes, gloves, long-sleeved lab coats and UV protective glasses

Remember not to look directly into the light as UVB radiation from the lamp can damage eyes and skin. Also, do not restrict airflow through the luminaires to avoid heat build-up which can drastically reduce the lifetime of your supplemental UV LED bars. Do not place the Supplemental UV LED Bar in contact with any surface while it is on and use it only on plants.
