Customer reviews Northern Light Regular
I live in the United states virgin islands/ the tropics. I would like to know if this strain is mold resistant. It can rain at any moment here in the Caribbean and the dew at night is very wet/heavy witch we all know is not god for cannabis flowers in late bloom. So tell me am I going to have to cover them from rain or will shaking the water off of the plant be ok??? In the vegitative stage we have know problem with mold. But night dew and rain mixed with hot sun dosen't seem to work well with indica strains in late flower. I've learned through trial and error. Some strains can handle the humidity here but they must have a high percentage of sativa within. Like 70% sativa and 30% indica. Strains crossed in this manner do well in our climate. My question is will northern lights regular be ok if I shake them off when it rains on them in late flower stage Or should I cover them in the late flowering stage to avoid mold.
Hello, you should cover them to avoid these problems.
I just purchased the pevgrow northern light regular strain, and I also bought black domina x black domina. I plan on crossing these two strains in order to create and plant that can be grown with ease in my geographical location. In the summer its brutally hot so hot that it can kill plants that dont have the genetics to withstand such high temperatures. Mold is another big problem when growing indica/skunk outdoors. I live in the US virgin islands and it can rain on your indica plants while they are in the late flowering stage. This has been proven to be unacceptable. So I'm trying to create a skunk plant with mold resistant genetics. If the weather forcast was reliable i could cover plants from the rain. But mother nature will get you everytime. We have a old saying in the Caribbean when it's raining and the sun is shining bright in the sky. The old folks would say that the devil is beating his wife when it rains with bright sunshine. This is not good for cannabis plants that are in late flower. So alot of the times we dont get to harvest fully mature female plant. This can only be achieved if there is a very bad drought and your plants are outdoors during the late flowering stage .no rain no problem.
