Shogun feminized seeds by Royal Queen Seeds are your ticket to a high-octane, clarity-boosting cannabis experience, combining explosive sativa energy with serious resin production and yields up to 600g/m² indoors.
Feeling stuck in a creative rut or mentally sluggish? What if your go-to strain just isn’t cutting it anymore—leaving you unfocused, unmotivated, or worse, anxious and scattered? You need something that lifts without overwhelming, energizes without racing.
Most sativas promise focus but deliver chaos. They rev your engine but burn out fast or leave you too wired to function. Others lack the punch to truly shift your mindset, fading into the background like weak coffee. Settling for mediocre strains means missing deadlines, skipping workouts, or staring at blank pages with zero inspiration.
Shogun changes the game. Born from Amnesia Haze and Royal Gorilla, this 70% sativa hybrid delivers a perfectly balanced cerebral kick—sharp, uplifting, and long-lasting—without the jitters. It’s like a mental reset button: laser focus, creative flow, and sustained energy for hours. Whether you're writing, designing, hiking, or just need to power through your day, Shogun keeps you in the zone.
Shogun isn’t just another high-THC strain—it’s engineered for performance. With THC levels hitting 25%, it delivers a potent, clean high that sharpens the mind and sparks joy. The aroma? A walk through a sun-warmed pine forest with earthy, citrusy undertones. Indoors, expect compact, robust plants yielding 550–600 g/m² (19.4–21.2 oz/ft²) in 9–11 weeks. Outdoors, they stretch to 1.5–1.9 m (4.92–6.3 ft), producing 650–750 g/plant (22.9–26.4 oz/plant) by late October. Resilient and beginner-friendly, Shogun forgives minor mistakes and thrives in soil, coco, or hydro.
Don’t let the potency scare you—Shogun is surprisingly forgiving and easy to manage, even for first-time growers. It handles common errors like overwatering or light stress without flipping or stalling.
Advanced growers will appreciate Shogun’s responsiveness to training, nutrient control, and environmental tweaks. Push it hard and it rewards with massive colas and trichome coverage.
Even the best strains can go wrong. Shogun’s resilience and stable genetics help you sidestep common pitfalls that ruin harvests.
Shogun thrives in both indoor and outdoor setups. Indoors, use 11–20 L pots and an 18/6 light cycle during veg, switching to 12/12 for flowering. Outdoors, plant in a sunny spot with good drainage. Start in a small pot and transplant to 50 L before flowering. Maintain RH at 50–60% in veg and 40–50% in bloom. Use a balanced fertilizer and increase PK in late flowering. For stronger roots, consider Piranha by Advanced Nutrients. In mid-flower, Hesi Boost enhances resin production. For a clean finish, flush with Final Flush by Grotek 7–10 days pre-harvest.
Yes, Shogun is beginner-friendly thanks to its resilience, stable genetics, and tolerance to minor errors in watering or feeding. It’s one of the easiest high-THC sativas to grow successfully.
Shogun has a rich, old-school aroma of pine and damp earth, with citrus and pungent undertones. The flavor mirrors the scent—earthy, resinous, and slightly sweet—delivering a nostalgic smoke session.
Indoors, flowering lasts 9–11 weeks (60–70 days). Outdoors, harvest is typically in late October in the northern hemisphere. Watch trichomes: clear to milky means peak cerebral effect; amber tones add body and calm.
Yes, but airflow is crucial. Shogun has decent mold resistance, but in humid areas, use LST to open the canopy and ensure strong ventilation. Avoid overcrowding and consider a dehumidifier if growing in a greenhouse.
Not required, but it responds well to LST, topping, and SCROG. Training helps control height indoors and exposes more bud sites, boosting yields. Avoid aggressive pruning—gentle shaping is best.
I first grew Shogun when I needed a strain that could keep up with back-to-back meetings and late-night content planning. I was skeptical—so many sativas are either too weak or too chaotic. But Shogun? It’s the Goldilocks of cerebral strains: not too fast, not too slow, just right. I started three seeds indoors under LEDs, used basic soil, and only did light LST. One plant hit 1.3 m and yielded over 580 g—dense, frosty colas with a sharp pine kick. For friends just starting, I recommend it because it’s forgiving and rewarding. For myself, I now use it as a benchmark: if a new sativa doesn’t outperform Shogun in flavor or effect, it doesn’t make the cut. It’s my go-to for focus, creativity, and staying sharp—without the crash.

I live in very humid and foggy mornings in the mountains. Usually during September and October while budding is in full bloom. Have tried Jack Herer, Moby Dick, Chiquita Banana and Berner Cookies. Have trimmed water leaves back after blooming started good and have still had issues with mold on all strains mentioned. I was wondering how well Shogun and Jamaican Pearl would fair in my environment. Or if you would have any other suggestions. Thank in advance and hope these two strains might work in my environment.
