Michka (Limited Edition) Regular seeds from Sensi Seeds are a tribute to the iconic French cannabis activist and writer Michka Seeliger-Chatelain, delivering a powerful, citrus-scented sativa experience that fuels creativity and elevates your mind.
Many sativas promise big cerebral effects but fall flat—either too airy in yield, weak in potency, or lacking that vibrant terpene punch. You invest weeks into growing, only to end up with popcorn buds and a forgettable smoke.
With sativas like Michka, the 10–11 week flowering period can test your patience. Without the right expectations, you might think something’s wrong when your plant stretches tall and takes its time. But that’s exactly when trust in the genetics matters most—rushing or doubting can lead to poor decisions like overfeeding or early harvest.
This isn’t a strain for quick harvests—it’s for connoisseurs who value elegance, flavor, and a mind-expanding high. With dense, candle-like colas, a zesty lemon-grapefruit aroma, and a clean burn, Michka turns the grow into a journey. Use a vaporizer to fully appreciate its terpene profile, and let the 80% sativa dominance unlock focus, creativity, and long-lasting euphoria.
Quick overview: Photoperiod regular from Sensi Seeds · 70–85 day flowering · medium difficulty · best in warm, sunny climates.
Safe start: Germinate in darkness at 22–25 °C; transplant once roots emerge. For a stronger start, Klonagel rooting hormone gel, 100% organic | Agrobeta boosts root development and resilience.
Directed growth: Use 18/6 light cycle; train early with LST or SCROG. MYCOPLANT enhances nutrient uptake and root health in soil or coco.
Efficient flowering: Switch to 12/12; maintain airflow to prevent humidity buildup. HESI Power Zyme breaks down dead roots and improves nutrient availability for denser buds.
Harvest and refinement: Harvest when trichomes are mostly milky with some amber for balanced effect. Flush 7–10 days before; dry at 18–22 °C and 50–60% RH; cure for 3–4 weeks to enhance flavor.
When you first grow Michka, expect a rapid stretch during pre-flowering—your plant might double in height. Don’t panic: this is normal for sativas. The colas will form tight, spiral-shaped clusters with a bright lime-green hue. Early harvests may lack full flavor, so wait until the trichomes peak. You’ll notice the citrus aroma intensify during drying, and the high will be more cerebral than physical—perfect for creative sessions, not for sleep.
Most growers feel confident by the second grow—first time is about learning its stretch and timing. Patience is key.
Healthy plants show steady growth, vibrant green leaves, and strong stems. No signs of mold or nutrient burn means you're on track.
The effect is strongly cerebral. If it’s too intense, try microdosing or harvesting earlier when trichomes are mostly milky.
It thrives in warm, sunny areas. In cooler zones, grow indoors or in a greenhouse to ensure long, hot summers.
I first grew Michka during a creative block—needed something to spark inspiration. The stretch was insane, nearly hit my 2.20 m ceiling. I used a SCROG net, which tamed it and turned one main cola into a canopy of dense, resinous buds. The first harvest was a bit early—rushed it—and the high was too heady. Second time, I waited, flushed properly, and cured for four weeks. The difference? Night and day. Smooth, citrusy vapor, a clear-headed euphoria that lasted hours. The flavor reminded me of fresh grapefruit peel with a sweet, incense-like finish. My biggest takeaway: don’t fight the sativa stretch—work with it. And never skip the cure. This strain isn’t for beginners, but if you respect the process, it rewards you with art in plant form.

I got a couple seeds in 1981 from a sack and sprouted them in 1990. The stretch as it kicked was ridiculous. The hairs were almost as thick as a pencil lead and had a rounded cone-head tip. It smelled of french streetwalker perfume. It was proof there was no opium in our buddha thai. The smell that caused the rumour came from the plant. I think of that plant every time I see a pure sativa and I zoom in to check for fat/rounded hairs. I check for claims of "indescribable" flavor of sweet, intoxicating, incense/perfume of Asian varieties, 12-14 weeks and 5 meters. Dense, dark 25%+ and an 1/8th was the size of your thumb. From 1979-1982 I bought about 20 1/8's and got 2 seeds. Where is that strain today? Anything out there that has fat hairs w/orange rounded tips?
