The Genesis Basic Nutrient Controller makes some of the worst growing tasks easier, and thanks to its system it allows you to automate and maintain nutritional parameters in marijuana crops. You no longer need to spend time administering liquid fertilizers and adjusting the PH of the nutrient solution, since this device is in charge of doing it in a very precise way.

What is the basic nutrient controller like?

It is a small device that has a control panel on the top from which we can mark the amount of EC and PH that we want to give our plants, depending on the stage of cultivation they are in. In the lower part it contains 3 peristaltic pumps that are responsible for sucking the amount of liquid that must be administered, be it fertilizer or PH corrective acid.

Small tubes come out of these pumps that at the lower end are inserted into the bottles or jugs of the products that we are going to apply, normally A+B base fertilizers and acid to lower the PH, since they are the basic products more necessary. On the other side of the device comes a probe that must be inserted into the nutrient solution tank, and that will take the readings that will indicate to the controller if it needs to add any of the products to the irrigation.

How do I use the Genesis Basic Nutrient Controller?

First of all, it must be said that these controllers are more designed for hydroponic, aeroponic, NFT, or vertical crops, since in these cases a tank with nutrient solution is prepared for several days, and in that time the parameters are usually fluctuate quite a bit, so they have to be constantly corrected. However, can also be used to prepare and automate fertigation in crops with soil or coconut, especially those with automatic irrigation.

Its installation is very simple, it is recommended to fix the device on a wall at half height to facilitate its handling, and place the bottles or jugs of the products that we want to apply underneath. You have to fit the tubes or small hoses to the manifolds coming out of each pump, and the other end is inserted into each of the products. As I told you before, the probe is placed in the tank previously filled with water, and the controller is plugged in, then we only have to mark the ideal PH and EC parameters for the cultivation phase that we are in with the buttons.
