If you are wondering how to make a weed cake, you have come to the right place, because at Pevgrow we are experts in making cannabis recipes and this is one of our favorites. Making a cake is the easiest thing in the world and also one of the most fun if we add a little weed, but always keeping in mind that eating and smoking weed has very different effects. Shall we prepare a cake??â?
Today I woke up in a cooking mood and said to myself: âIâm going to prepare something easy and funâ and what better than a classic cake?⊠for very little money, and spending very little time in the kitchen, you can enjoy a delicious cannabis treat for a long time afterwards.
We recommend decarboxylating the cannabis before cooking, since although during the recipe preparation process, the weed can be decarboxylated, doing it beforehand ensures that the decarboxylation is done correctly. If you want to know how to do it, click on this link How to decarboxylate weed?
And that is precisely the secret of one of the oldest desserts in humanity, the cake, as it is called in some Spanish-speaking places, which has endured for so many years or rather, centuries.
Yes, yes! I havenât smoked anything yet! đ I said centuries correctly, because the first data, according to historians and culinary enthusiasts, indicates that cakes, those made without weed, date back to the 10th century BC. In fact, in the recipes made in ancient times, they underwent a double cooking process, hence their name, bis coctus, which in Latin means cooked twice. The cake was one of the basic foods for soldiers, as it lasted longer.
Nowadays the recipe has been simplified so much (although it is still so delicious) that it is usually one of the first, if not the first recipe that children make. So if they can do it⊠you and I can too!
So, what do you say? Are you in? Yes? Well⊠letâs get to work!??â?
â Ingredients and materials to make a weed cake
Buy CBD Flowers
Unless you are a complete disaster, I bet you have everything Iâm going to ask for below to make a weed cake at home. Donât? Take note and then let me know:âïž
Ingredients to make a weed cake
- 1 natural yogurt
- Sugar (2 cups of the yogurt we used)
- Flour (3 cups of the yogurt we used)
- 3 eggs
- 1 packet of baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 cup of cannabis butter that you will have melted beforehand (more or less, about 80 grams)
- From 5 to 8 grams of weed buds
This is a first option if you already have weed butter made, but if thatâs not the case, you can also opt to use regular unsalted butter and add the weed later. In any case, the recipe hardly varies, although it is true that the second option is milder than the first and perhaps the most recommended if itâs the first time you or any of your guests try the weed cake recipe.
As for what type of weed to choose to make a cake, the truth is that the variety is very wide, but among others, I recommend Nebula II CBD, a true delight for the most discerning palates and whose buds, being covered in resin, make it ideal for cooking.
Of course, you know that the cake, besides being very easy to make, also has the advantage that you can add almost anything: nuts, chocolate, fruit⊠itâs very accommodating! I, being very greedy, thought that today Iâm going to prepare a chocolate weed cake, so using the ingredients above, Iâm going to add chocolate for melting. Youâre going to lick your fingers like when you were a kid!?
And, well, donât forget to note the materials we need:
- 1 bowl
- 1 spatula
- 1 baking mold
- 1 knife
- baking paper (if you donât have any and you have leftover regular butter or flour, that will work too)
- 1 saucepan
- 1 grinder
- 1 mixer (optional)
And now that you have everything, put down the paper and pen and pick up an apron and⊠letâs get started!
âł Recipe for weed cake, step by step
- Since this recipe is very easy and quick to make, the first step is to turn on the oven and preheat it to 180 degrees, so that when we finish our mixture it will be ready to start baking.
- Secondly, we will melt the butter in the microwave (whether itâs regular or cannabis) for about 10-20 seconds, depending on the power of your device. If you decided to make a chocolate cake, like me, break the ounces by hand and add them to a saucepan when itâs already a bit warm. Remember to keep the temperature low so it doesnât burn. If you want, you can also add a little milk.
- While the chocolate is melting, you can move on to the third step, which is to mix the remaining ingredients on the list: yogurt, eggs, flour, sugar, and a pinch of salt and stir until you achieve a uniform and lump-free batter. TIP: If you want to go even faster, you can blend everything with the mixer.
- Next, we will pour in the butter, the weed buds that we will have crushed with the grinder, and the chocolate. We do the same mixing operation, either with the spatula or the mixer (honestly, I think the latter is the best, although the culinary connoisseurs might kill me).
- Another option, especially if we use regular butter, is to melt it in a saucepan and when itâs halfway melted, mix it with the crushed weed buds.
- And, ready, we have our batter prepared! Now you just have to put the baking paper in the mold we have chosen to bake our cake, or grease the edges with butter or flour and put it in the oven for 25-30 minutes.
- When this time has passed, to know if itâs ready, just insert the tip of a spatula and if it comes out clean, itâs ready, otherwise, you will have to wait a little longer, but keep an eye on it so it doesnât overcook or burn on top, which happens to many people. Beginner mistakes that happen to all of us at some point!
đ Effects of the Weed Cake
- Prolonged and Powerful Effects: When consuming cannabis through a cake, the effects take longer to appear, generally between 30 minutes and 2 hours, but can last between 4 to 8 hours, or even longer, depending on the dose and tolerance.
- Feeling of Relaxation and Well-being: One of the most common effects is a deep sense of relaxation, both physically and mentally. This can be beneficial for those looking to relieve stress, anxiety, or pain.
- Euphoria and Joy: Consuming cannabis can produce an elevated mood, a feeling of euphoria, and in some cases, an increase in creativity. These effects are usually more pronounced in the first hours after consuming the cake.
- Intense Body Effect: Unlike smoking, eating cannabis produces a deeper body “high”. You may feel a sensation of heaviness or intense muscle relaxation.
- Sleepiness: Depending on the strain of weed used, a weed cake can induce sleepiness, which is useful for those who have trouble sleeping or need to rest.
- Increased Appetite: As with many cannabis products, consuming a cake can significantly increase your appetite, causing the famous “munchies”.
đ Precautions When Consuming Weed Cake
- Waiting Time: It is crucial to wait at least 1-2 hours after consuming a portion before deciding to eat more. Due to the time it takes to take effect, many people make the mistake of consuming more than they should.
- Controlled Dose: Start with a small portion, especially if you have no experience with edibles. The effects are much more lasting and intense than smoking or vaping.
- Avoid Dangerous Activities: Do not drive or perform activities that require concentration or coordination after consuming a weed cake.
đŻ Tips Before Eating a Weed Cake
If you are a follower of this blog, you surely already know: it is not the same to smoke weed as it is to eat it. In the first case, it hits faster, but its effects last less, and if you eat it, the effects take a while to arrive (it can take 1 or 2 hours), but their duration is extended for a long time.
So if you think it hasnât hit you, wait a little longer, because you might get a surprise if you eat more cake. Start with half or one portion and let it take effect. Also, if you have to work later, drive, or basically do something that requires you to be alert, be very careful about when and how much weed cake you eat.
On the other hand, taking weed cake can be a lot of fun and some may want to drink wine or other types of alcohol, but itâs not the most advisable, so I recommend you swap it for juice, water, coffee, tea, milk⊠which also pairs much better than a glass of wine.
Lastly, and although I know it might be unnecessary, you should never joke or feed someone weed cake if they donât know it contains it. As a general rule, you should inform before offering it.

đ§ Now itâs your turn
Iâve done my part. 25 minutes have passed, my cake is perfect, fluffy, and while it cools a bit, Iâm going to prepare a cup of coffee, choose a movie to have a laugh, and⊠enjoy the ride! When Iâm done, Iâd love to hear your opinion on this recipe or for you to share tricks or tips with the rest of the community.
Oh! And if you liked it, I would love it even more if you could lend a hand and share it on social media. See you next time!
Y’all are making this so difficult in the comments.
Step 1. Decarb weed
Step 2. Mix 6 ingredients to make a cookie
Step 3. Bake.
Step 4. Baked.
I used to make firecracker edibles with 1.5 grams of decarbd weed per edible and those were insane. These won’t be super strong if you make all 40 cookies but you can add a gram or two.
This is the easiest recipe you will find so don’t overthink it. After all, I lost all my sponsors for a good hit of the doobie. Not a lot of people know this but I pitched an edible sandwich to Subway and they were totally down before everyone freaked out at that video. Eat fresh and smoke fresher (ïŒäž_äž)
Iâm just made some butter and ready to put in the fridge. I was given all the trim from a friends grow and had 130gram so I put it with 5blocks of butter and 5.5 cups of water.
Tomorrow Iâm going to make an attempt on your cake.
Wish me luck đ€đ»đđ„đ
