What's its genetic content?

It is the result of the cross between the Critical Auto and a fourth generation autoflowering male that brings the red or purple coloration of its flowers. No doubt you can see that it is an advanced hybrid of automatic flowering, and that can be seen in the large proportion of flower to leaf it produces.

How do you grow Red Critical Auto indoors and outdoors?

Indoors it performs very well with a continuous photoperiod of 20 hours of light and 4 of darkness, but if you want to squeeze the maximum out of its production you have to plant it in a pot of 4 US gal (15 liters) minimum. Try to add to the substrate and the first waterings mycorrhizae or trichoderma or both, which is very good for this kind of plants to accelerate their development. Try to put 12 or 16 plants/3x3ft (m2) into 2.9 US gal (11 litre) pots, without transplanting, so that they form a good root ball as soon as possible.

Outdoors or in a greenhouse it is better to give it more substrate, 6.6 or 7.9 US gal (25 or 30 litres) if you sow it in spring or summer. Try not to get it wet during flowering because one of the weak points of the Red Critical Auto is precisely that, it is prone to fungal attack because of the density of its buds.

When is this automatic variety harvested?

No more than 75 days from germination to harvest under normal conditions, although may need some more days if temperatures are low or light intensity is lacking. It may need less days in indoor cultivation than outdoors, because when the environmental conditions are optimal the Red Critical Auto is awesome, but if it is cold or has little light incidence it is a little longer cultivation. During maturation you can enjoy an authentic show and is that this plant acquires some impressive colors that make people fall in love with it, both local and foreign.

How much does Red Critical Auto produce?

In well-lit indoor areas you can get close to 17.6 oz per 3x3ft (500 grams/m2), but honestly, to achieve a great yield with this plant some experience with automatic cultivation is essential.

Outdoors if you plant it in the season with more hours and intensity of sunshine you can make it quite big and, therefore, quite productive, it can reach 12.3 oz (350 grams)/plant. The ideal time is from late spring to mid-summer, also in that phase of the year there is usually not much rainfall, so we can avoid fungi.

What does this autoflowering weed taste and smell like?

Its aroma is very sweet, fruity, skunk, and quite powerful by the way. The flavor has a great intensity and consistency to be an automatic, especially after 1 month and a half or 2 months of curing, also very sweet and floral, with a spicy touch.

What's its effect?

It is the typical effect of balanced hybrids, as it starts with a strong general stimulation, which encourages and motivates, accelerates thoughts and gradually becomes more relaxing. If you don't smoke much it is ideal for everyday life, as it lets you work, do tasks or even study. The problem comes when you try it, that it is difficult to stop using, so it is normal to overdo it and leave you sitting for a long time.
