Big Devil XL Auto® by Sweet Seeds is a powerful 3rd generation autoflowering hybrid that delivers big size, high yields, and a bright, creative high—all in just 9½ weeks from germination. This sativa-dominant strain combines genetics from Big Devil #2 Auto® and an autoflowering Jack Herer, making it a top-tier choice for growers who want quality, speed, and serious resin production without the photoperiod hassle.
There’s a lot of noise out there: “Autos don’t yield,” “They’re weak,” “No flavor, no potency.” Sound familiar? These myths come from outdated genetics and bad growing practices—not reality.
The truth? Modern 3rd-gen autos like Big Devil XL Auto® shatter those myths. But when growers expect photoperiod performance without adjusting their approach, they end up disappointed. Poor pots, bad light cycles, or over-pruning kill potential before it starts.
Big Devil XL Auto® isn’t just another auto—it’s proof that autoflowering can be powerful, aromatic, and productive. This description is your no-BS guide to what this strain really does, how to grow it right, and what to expect when you do.
This strain delivers fast, reliable harvests with sativa-driven energy and serious resin. It grows tall for an auto, fills space well, and produces dense, fragrant buds in record time. But it’s not a photoperiod—don’t expect 12-week flowering stretches or extreme training. It’s designed for efficiency, not manipulation.
It won’t fix poor setup choices. But in the right conditions—with enough light, space, and a steady hand—it will outperform most autos you’ve tried. It’s not subtle: this is a loud, proud, high-THC sativa hybrid that rewards attention and space.
Big Devil XL Auto® suits different growers—but your expectations should match your setup. Here’s how to know if it’s right for you:
Not exactly—but for an auto, yes. With strong lighting and proper pots, it matches or exceeds many photoperiods in yield per square meter, thanks to its speed and efficiency.
Only if you’re prepared for its height. At 1.60 m (5.25 ft), it needs a tall space. Consider 120 cm (47.24 in) or taller tents, and use LST to manage vertical growth.
Big Devil XL Auto® is taller, yields more, and has denser buds. It’s the upgraded 3rd-gen version with better resin production and improved structure.
Absolutely. It’s forgiving, resistant, and doesn’t need complex training. Just give it light, space, and consistent watering—and it’ll reward you.
Optimize your setup with this concise grow guide based on genetics, grower feedback, and breeder recommendations.
3rd-gen autoflower from Sweet Seeds—sativa-dominant, 9.5-week cycle, high-yielding. Ideal for indoor tents or sunny outdoor spots with room to grow.
Launch strong with the right beginning.
Guide structure without stress.
Maximize resin and density.
Nail the finish for top-tier quality.
I’ve tested a lot of autos, but Big Devil XL Auto® stood out from the first grow. I remember hearing people say “autos are just for stealth,” but this one? It filled a 120x120x200 cm tent like a photoperiod. I used 20 L pots and a 600W LED—no pruning, just light LST to open the canopy.
The smell hit me by week 6—sharp lemon and incense, like a high-end sativa. I harvested at 9.5 weeks, got 580 g/m², and the high was clean, uplifting, and long-lasting. No paranoia, no couch-lock—just pure creative energy. I’ve since recommended it to growers who want quality without the wait. It’s not for micro-grows, but if you’ve got space, this auto will surprise you.

Hello, are these seeds Big devil XL auto feminism or not? Do you send seeds to Czech Republic.Mara M.
Good harvests abundant flowers with little work but planted in mother earth previously fertilized with organic fertilizer of chickens and humus of worm, only with irrigation of clean water of well every 2 or 3 days and water of nettles once every 3 irrigations is sufficient and give great results.
Even waiting for results the bad thing I put them in early and I think I was unlucky.
Well my experience was spectacular, the way of cultivation was indoors, 18 ltrs pot, more than 50 grams dry, dual focus 600w with scrog and 4 pots.
The little candy went great bkn the trip nothing to say would ever cultivate it again 1 and a thousand times!
So good luck to me and good kids to everyone!
I've only grown outdoors
A variety with a fairly strong smell which makes it quite difficult to grow indoors or at least it was in my case. Not very recommended for small spaces as it reaches quite high. Spectacular and lasting effect. I cultivated it with a cfl of 105 watts and I fell short. Next time I will try to use sodium for more production.
Good experience, good germination and enrsizado. very small plant with fluorescent open but dense and resinous. an earthy sabotage and incensed. In general byena quality little harvest.
It is a robust and powerful plant with a strong taste and a subtle fruity touch. I planted it outdoors in mid-March 2017. Both I and my closest acquaintances now always have her in mind when it comes to buying seeds.
Of the best plants I've smoked, I got a pack of 3 plus 1 as a gift because I throw myself to the offers and I also got them because they had jack herer crosses that I like very much the best thing about this plant is the incisive taste it leaves you when you smoke it.
4 in 7 liters pots in 100x100x200 aramariums and 300w led panel and top crop fertilizers and tie my bloombastic, I made Cambodia! And the taste is good, cerebral high and almost 800g!
So I cultivated it with the scrog methodology. It took me a while to grow, I needed more sun than I thought. Over time, it went well and I recommend it to everyone. I can't wait to grow the ones you drew lots for, they're beautiful. I'll try 14-litre jars.
I used a 35 litre pot, I thought it would not grow that much and it overflowed, I had to apply a few cuts at the top to contain it a little, I think it was one of my most productive plantations per plant, cutting it down and I took one 350 grams out of it.
2 big devil variety plants in 18litre pots a success. I didn't know the variety and I was surprised. Few cares except a good soil of coconut and fertilizers in the stage of flowering. Very high production and high quality. It surprises you.
What has been the plant came out rather small and with little production. But I have to say that of very good taste and...? Why say more if with an emoji one understands the sea of good
Use special substrate for autoflowering, 20 liter pot and Canna fertilizer. The culture was simple (a little longer than expected) and without too many complications. I think I harvested about 80 grams, not bad for a car!
As for the effect I would say that it is kind, relaxing without being heavy and suitable for the day!
I grow well with what I can usually soil from worm humus leaves and lamb manure. The biggest flowerpots I've ever had of 20 liters. 2-liter bottles, 4 and 7-liter black bags. I have done well outdoors all year round. I use apical pruning the most up to 4 prunings. What I took out about 2 kilos of ones, at least 5 grams.
I cultivated it indoors with a focus of 400 w (sodium) in flora and in vegetation and growth with a focus of 250 w (aluro), in pots of 11 lt. More or less. I planted 3 seeds, the 3 came out and in production measured about 100 gr. It was one of the first seeds I had, the taste was sweet and with good aroma. My friends smokers liked it very much hahaha, greetings !
I worked 9 vines of this variety in an indoor environment, they were great, they came out with a purple tone that reminded me of the blackberries of the field when I was little and I ate them sweet.... It was in an indoor 200x120 with a focus of 400w in vegetative period and 600w in flowering with temperature between 18 and 20 degrees at night and between 20 and 26 degrees during the day, with humidity between 40 and 70%... I worked them at 18/6 for 2 months and then 2 months and a half plus 12/12 - I admit that it was my first crop and I only got about 200g dry... A little bit for 9..... Well, it was my first time, but they came out spectacular, in taste, aroma and visual aspect, a marvel. It was peculiar to notice how in the curing process I sometimes felt citric tones and in some buds I even perceived lemon flavor.... A little weird, actually. As a first experience the truth qualified it as good because the plant itself is a marvel, and if I continue to learn I am sure I can improve the results even more, I forgot to mention that in 2 out of 9 I made polite apicals that I found... And they were all under the scrog net. Despite being the first crop I realized that seeds are grown, you have to take care of them, pay attention to them, feed them etc., almost like an XD son - it was quite a pleasant experience and I want to continue planting other vines!
I tried a mixed crop of three seeds (indoor/outdoor) with the only care of the irrigation, as well as a careful selection of land and behaved incredible. Production with an intense flavour of approximately 60 grams per plant. No doubt a great choice!!
I grew this strain outdoors and in the ground directly, giving me a plant of more than 340grs, very good production for an auto.

REVIEW--Auto flowers have changed my life, there is no other way to describe it. As a summertime organic / medicinal grower, AUTOS allow me to grow 6 plants in the same space where i once grew 2 large photoperiod types. Now i have 6 different varieties that are able to be matched to any occasion, rather than having a mountain of one type, whereby i would get bored with / immune to that years' harvest ( and bad luck unfortunately if i did not like that particular strain very much). After a world wide cyber search i discovered PEV and the best genetics in SWEET SEEDS of Spain. Both this store and the breeder are possibly the best on this planet !! I can recommend both whole heartedly and every grower should (no, must) try SWEET SEEDS' seeds !! They are simply amazing. Every type i have grown have been awesome in smell, taste, beauty and not forgetting effect. It is obvious to me that these plants were bred by people who love their work and have produced genetics that are sympathetic to this wonderful herb and h
