Koppert's Aphidalia, the biological pest controller that Koppert has designed to fight the unwanted aphid. It comes in a cotton bag, which contains 100 ladybird larvae, who will be eager to feed on the colony of aphids that threaten your marijuana plant.
How does Aphidalia work?
Both adult ladybugs and larvae feed on aphids. By placing the open cotton bag in the aphid colony, the larvae come out and start feeding on the aphids, their favorite dish.
When should Aphidalia be used?
Aphidalia should be used when an aphid plague settles on your plant, either in any life stage of the aphid, larva or adult.
How is Aphidalia used?
The application of Aphidalia varies depending on the location of your crop, whether it is an outdoor crop or a greenhouse crop.
If your marijuana crop is outdoor:
- Open the bag containing the product and attach it to your cannabis plant, near the first branch, Aphidalia will do the rest.
- If pests are important, hang more bags.
- The application is of more or less 1 bag of Aphidalia by 9,8 inches (25 cm) of diameter of the stem of the plant, being able to place as maximum 3 bags of Aphidalia by plant.
If your marijuana crop is in a greenhouse:
- Apply the product on the leaves affected by the pest.
- If pests are important, you can place more Aphidalia in the areas most affected and populated by aphids.
- The distribution of the product can be done by Dibox.
How can I store Aphidalia?
As with all other biological pest controllers, the life cycle of beneficial organisms is very short, so you must apply it as soon as you receive it. Maximum you can store it for 24-48 hours, with a temperature between 46 and 50 ºF (8-10 ºC) degrees and completely in the dark.What is the application rate of Aphidalia?
