To produce the feminized banana seeds, we had to resort to self-pollination of the magnificent elite clone from the United States known as Banana OG. Therefore our seeds are Banana OG S1.

The original cutting of this strain is supposed to be a cross between Ghost OG and a selection of Sagarmatha 60/40, which is known as Banana.

How is Banana OG feminized in general?

This is the typical hybrid descendant of the OG Kush, i.e. with branched and flexible structure, indica leaf, wide knot spacing, dense buds, very good calyx/leaf ratio, resin-coated, tasty and a huge yield.

How to grow Banana OG seeds indoors and outdoors?

If you have harvested some OG you already have an idea of how to perfectly grow PEV Seeds' Banana. Its cultivation is really simple, suitable for all kinds of users, but there are some details to be taken into account.

Indoors you have several options, put 16 or 20 plants per 3x3ft (m2) with short vegetative growing time, or put 6 or 9 per 3x3ft (m2) with longer growing cycle. The important thing is to cover well all the growing area, and for that it is interesting to make one or several pruning, that way instead of a big main tip per plant, you will have several branches that will reach good size and yield better.

For outdoor cultivation, try to shape it into a hedge, so that it makes better use of the sunlight. You can start with a F.I.M. pruning from the fourth knot, and every 10 or 15 days prune each tip during the growing period.

Both indoors and outdoors, it is important to place some kind of support for the branches, either tutors, net, vine arbour, etc. This way the plant will produce more, and there is no risk of bending the buds because of the weight.

When is Banana OG from PEV Seeds harvested?

Grown indoors you can harvest from week 8 of flowering until week 10, depending on the type of effect you like. It must be said that the Banana OG clone is more likely to show its indica part than most OG Kush, so if you're more into high-end psychoactivity you shouldn't wait more than 8 weeks.

In outdoor crops something similar happens, as you can start harvesting from late September, but if you like the more relaxing or narcotic effect wait a little longer, until early October in the northern hemisphere. If you grow it outdoors in the southern hemisphere, the harvest will be from the end of March to the beginning of April.

How much does feminized Banana OG produce?

Bud production is medium/high, but it compensates for this with an exaggerated resin yield, and specially with its high levels of terpenes, flavonoids and cannabinoids. In indoor cultivation you can get about 15.8 oz per 3x3ft (450 grams per m2).

Outdoors you can get more than 24.7 oz (700 grams) per plant, but you have to plant it soon, that does not lack substrate, and all the hours of sunshine it can receive.

How is the aroma and taste of Banana OG variety?
