Lao Highland Tribe are regular marijuana seeds from the Khalifa Genetics bank, a sativa variety from Southeast Asia very little known, but which has many things to offer to cannabis growers for self-consumption, but if you want to discover them you will have to continue reading ...

What is the genetics of these regular seeds?

In principle, it is a pure variety from a mountainous region of northern Laos, but it seems to be related to the landraces of the Chinese province of Yunnan. Khalifa Genetics breeders believe that some Akha tribe members may have brought seeds from Yunnan to this area of Laos when they fled China, and may have adapted over the years to these mountainous lands, or interbred with some other local breed.

How does Lao Highland Tribe look like?

They are plants that grow very quickly and in an expansive way, not only in height, they tend to invade as much space as they can. The distance between nodes is quite wide, and they usually multiply their size during pre-flowering, something typical of sativas, but they develop very large leaves like indica, and what is better, they also have a moderate flowering period. During the maturation phase, a part of the plants end up with a very striking purple color, a sight for the eyes that, added to the olfactory, will surely delight all your senses.

How are these seeds grown indoors and outdoors?

In indoor cultivation, can be placed directly with a photoperiod of flowering from the germination phase., that is, 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness for the entire crop. This is a good way that they do not shoot much in height, but you can also prune the main tip and place a mesh to make a SCROG with 9 plants / m2 in 11-liter pots.

In crops of Outdoors they are very resistant to many types of stress, and since they do not require much care, just plant the seeds in a pot of more than 40 liters or directly in the ground. Do not worry if in your area it usually rains in autumn, because Lao Highland Tribe are practically immune to fungi.

Both indoors and outdoors, try to give soft and widely spaced fertilizations, because these plants do not need large doses of fertilizers to give their best, on the contrary, they prefer less food than most seeds today.

When are the Lao Highland Tribe harvested?

Its flowering cycle is about 13 to 16 weeks in indoor cultivation, but as I said before, the ideal is to put them directly at 12/12, and in this way its cultivation lasts more or less the same as that of the hybrids that we grow with 4 weeks of growth and then need 10 weeks of flowering. In outdoor crops, they are harvested at late November or early December in the northern hemisphere, and between late May and early June in the southern hemisphere.

How much do these seeds generally produce?

Its yield is within the average, in indoor cultivation you can get a harvest of about  14,10 oz per 3x3ft (400 grams / m2) , and outdoors each Lao Highland Tribe can give you more than 18 oz/plant ( 500 grams ) of dry buds.

What does Lao Highland Tribe taste and smell like?

The aroma is very sweet and penetrating, while complex and original, because it mixes fruity tones of berries with vanilla, chocolate, and incense nuances, a smoke with a lot of body and bouquet that satisfies all types of consumers.

What kind of effect does this special cannabis have?

The effect is at first very stimulating and psychoactive, opens the mind and inspires, brings happiness and makes you feel good. It is a long-lasting effect, but as time passes it becomes more physical and relaxing, so it can be said that it is full spectrum.
